Twilight2

Here is the chatting for people who have read Twilight!

Twilight

This summer we had Twilight mania at my house. I had heard some girls talking about it at EFY and thought I would check it out, but then I forgot. Then my grandmother, surprise!, came to my house and was reading it. Once she told me it was written by a Mormon author I was more willing to read it after I had heard what it was about. For those of you who don't know, I won't tell. If you ask other people what it is about they will give you one word and that will ruin the first half of the book. There is nothing bad about the book, its great! The storie is mostly a romance, and I don't usually do romance, but I gobbled it up in one huge bite. It had a lot of action as well. I read for hours on end, totally in Forks, Washington with Bella on her adventure.
The movie has come out and I saw it. I really liked it, especially how they made the movie for people who hadn't read the book. They didn't tell you exactly what would happen, they kept you guessing. The movie had to take out a lot, and you probably would get more of what is happening if you have read the books, but I wouldn't recomend reading the books right before seeing the movie, that just highlights the differences. Watching the movie and then reading the book would probab;y be okay though, because the book would just fill in the stuff the movie left out.
Overall I would recomend the twilight books and movie to everyone. Even though it is a romance, guys would like it too. I have seen some of the most unlikely readers pick up this book and not be able to put it down. If you haven't read twilight, you really should. This comment sheet can be about how great twilight is, but please don't spoil the plot, I'll put up another post for comments about the plot and such.

Busy

I'm so sorry I haven't posted. I have been very busy with school, and when I'm not doing homework or something else I need to do I like to actually relax. (gasp!)
I have gotten a part in Alice and Wonderland for school as an extra type part. This is what I usually get, so I'm not too bumbed out. I still love putting on a play and acting.
Hopefully I can get better at posting!

Protector of the Small

This is the next generation of knights. Kel is inspired by Allana's story and wants to become a knight herself. Laws have changed and she legally can, but at what cost? As the first female since Alanna to try to become a knight, this time everyone will be against her, trying to prove that females can't be knights, and that Allana only got her shield because of her magic. Can Kel make it? Can she become a knight?

How 2 Comment

Okay, so the way I see it, we don't know how to comment on my blog because everyone is ANONYMOUS! Okay, some of the people might want to be anonymous, but I have been told by family members that they don't know how to comment, so I will tell you now.
1. Click on "comments." There will be a number before this, usually either 0 or 1.
2. Type a comment into the box, don't worry about it being too long, there is infinite space.
3. Click the bullet next to Name/URL.
4. Type your name in the box that appears.
5. Click "publish your comment."
There you go! Your name and comment should pop up in the left hand colum. Now, I am fine with anonymous comments (though I perfer names), just to let you know. I just also wanted you to now how to comment with your name.

Sleepless nights

I guess the title might not be totally true, as I was trying to fall asleep about 11:30, but most of my sleep was in the moring.
So, the reason for my sleepless nights (ha, ha! get it?) was because friday night I was at Six Flags! It was a lot of fun. I was a bit queesy though, because I drank a lot, but didn't eat anything solid until the end of the night. I get to go to Six Flags every year because my dad's job rents out the park, so I didn't go on any of the wild rides this year except the TITAN! my favorite ride. It was a lot of fun, thought, and I got to spend a lot of time with my family. I also got to go on a ride that they haven't had open before this year while we were there, the Cobra. It's a lot of fun. Instead of a track, for parts of it is a half tunnel. It gives the feeling that you could go anywhere, or even fall off, but the scraps in the paint on the tunnel give it away.
Saturday night I went to a church dance. We hold one every month and this one was extra special because teenagers from three over cities in the area came as well. It was a lot of fun as well, though I got pretty tired near the end.
Sorry I haven't posted about this earlier, I have been a little busy.
P.S. I love to hear from you about what I blog. :)

Chior drama

This Tuesday something extraordinary happened in choir. We found a mouse. We also learned that Mrs. Laughter doesn't like mice. Well, that's just the first part. We also found out that mice are really fast. Mrs. Laughter called the custodians to come get the mouse, and it just ran half way across the room to under the piano. The custodians then had to move the piano, but then it just ran behind the binder cabinet. They moved that, and then it ran under a door into the equipment room. Then the custodians (and some brave, helpful choir students) started moving things around trying to find the mouse. Mrs. Laughter has an office that is a room separate from the actual choir room. She went into the room to get a flashlight to help find the mouse. I had said to anyone in general that she might want to close her door, but not wanting to be rude, I didn't repeat myself specifically to her. Well, while the door was open, the mouse ran from the equipment room into her office. At this point Mrs. Laughter nearly lost it. She got as quickly as she could out of the room and we started looking. We looked and looked. Most of the cabinetry was mounted directly to the wall, so there was no place for it to hide there, but we never found it. I hope it ran away, because I think Mrs. Laughter would have a heart attack if she found it in her office almost a week later. Choir drama is real drama.
P.S. Did I mention the mouse was only about two inches long?

Artemis Fowl

Good news for Artemis Fowl fans. A new book has come out called the Time Paradox. Artemis's mother gets sick and can only be cured by the brain from a silky sifaka lemur. Unfortuantly, a younger Artemis Fowl had distroyed the last of these creatures, so Artemis must go back in time and face his younger self.

School

School is back. Crazy, hectic, hard, long, school. Gotta love it. And a new adjective to add to the list. BIG! It has two gigantic floors, and has recently added another part, also two stories. When I looked at that school I thought, "How am I ever going to find my classes in that thing!" Thankfully it wasn't that bad. I was able to go through it twice before the first day of school and that helped a lot. I have conquered the mountain. (Though I still jog from Spanish to English which are seperate floors and sides of the building.)
This year I am taking Spanish, Choir, and BCIS as my electives. BCIS is an computer class and I haven't learned much new stuff yet, but its an all year course, so I probably will. Spanish is fun. I kind of struggle with it, but I like it. I'm realizing that I really know a lot more than I thought I did, but that it still isn't much. Choir. Oh how I love choir. I have a great director who makes me laugh. Mrs. Laughter (Lah-ter) has her own language. She makes up words to make her point and that's a lot of fun. I also get to see all my choir friends again. I just love to sing, make music, and listen to music.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I'll try to be better, but most nights I don't even get to the computer.

The Ocean in Me

This is a song by Cherie Call, one of my favorite singers, and this is one of my favorite songs.

I know when a storm is coming on, and I can tell when tears are gonna fall
And I know what it's like when disappointments seem to make you feel so small
I've become the extra when I wished to be the lead
And I have been the friend when I wished to be the girl
And sometimes all the faith in the world
Can still never change what isn't meant to be
/
Chorus:
But if I feel like just a teardrop in the rain when I meant to be a river
God sees the ocean in me
And in the depths of all my sorrow and my pain, when I ask to be delivered
He shows the ocean to me
He sees the ocean in me
/
He sees all the things that I can't see, and He dries every tear that falls down
And sooner or later He opens my eyes
And finally I turn around
And find that as a servant I had really been a queen
And I had been a diamond when I thought that I was glass
And I know every heartbreak will pass
Just when it seems the hardest to believe
/
Cause if I feel like just a teardrop in the rain when I meant to be a river
God sees the ocean in me
And in the depths of all my sorrow and my pain, when I ask to be delivered
He shows the ocean to me
He sees the ocean in me
/
And I'm an ocean drawn to the light
Reaching for the sky
Pulled by gravity
And after every storm, I take another shape
Landing on a shore far beyond my dreams
/
And if I feel like just a teardrop in the rain when I meant to be a river
God sees the ocean in me
And in the depths of all my sorrow and my pain, when I ask to be delivered
He shows the ocean to me
He sees the ocean in me
He sees the ocean in me

Lost Princess Act 3 Scene 7

Scene 7
Narrator-So the next day was the coronation and everyone came. Elizabeth walked down the aisle, sat on her throne, and Noella put the crown on her head. (Elizabeth goes down the line of her admirers)
Rachel-I’m so proud of you!
Elizabeth-Thanks Mom. (Rachel gasps) I realized that you are the only mom I will ever know, and want to thank you for all you have done for me.
Rachel-Thank you! (Elizabeth goes down the line)
Kaitlyn-I can’t wait until you get pregnant and want crazy foods
Elizabeth-I can. (both laugh) (Elizabeth goes down the line)
Angeline-Remember when we chased after Robert when he stole your shoes, and we got all muddy!
Elizabeth-(Smiles) Those were fun times.
Angeline-Too bad they won’t come again.
Elizabeth-But I think this memory is even better, and we will still have fun.
Angeline-(smiles) You’re right. (Elizabeth goes down the line)
Tiffany-Thank you for helping me with the birth of my child. I am naming her Beth, in your honor.
Elizabeth-It wasn’t just me. Without all my mother taught me I wouldn’t have known what to do. Noella helped too.
Tiffany-Then I shall have to thank your mother, and ask her for tips on how to raise a daughter just like you. (Tiffany leaves and Elizabeth goes down the line)
Emily-Know I will always be here for you.
Elizabeth-I know, but it will take time to adjust from being a only child commoner, to being a twin and Queen. (Everyone laughs)
The End

Yeah, I know it was a little obvious, but I had to make it short because I had wanted to perform it with some of my friends. I might make a book based on this, but it will be a lot longer. As you see, this is already quite long. I had quite a few other ideas, and some explanations. I had originally wrote it as a book, but then changed it into a play. I had thought that maybe the prophesy hadn't been finished yet, but that would make the play too long, so I cut it. In the book it wouldn't be so much about if you knew who the princess was, but when they would find out. It would take a lot longer in the book, probably. Hope you liked the story.

Song of the Lioness

Tamora Pierce is one of my favorite authors. Most of her series are quartets, and she has eight series so far. She has two worlds in which her stories lie and the first land is called Tortal. In Tortal there are real gods. Tortal is run by the king and knights who are loyal to him. In the first series, Alanna's Father wants to send her to the City of the Gods to learn how to be a proper lady. Her father wants to send her twin brother to become a knight. Neither want that kind of life, so her twin brother forges their father's writing to send them to opposite places. He wants to become a wizard at the City of the Gods, and she wants to become a knight. The only problem is that girls can't become knights, so she has to hid her identity. While this series goes through the problem of puberty, it is appropriate. (Yes, there is a prince and there is a little romance for those who like that)

Lost Princess Act 3 Scenes 5 & 6

Scene 5
(Kaitlyn enters)
Kaitlyn-Angeline, their highnesses require your presence. I also have something for you to change into.
Angeline-(quietly)Their highnesses? (yells) Coming!
Scene 6
(Elizabeth sitting, then stands and walks to hug Angeline)
Elizabeth-Welcome Angeline. I don’t believe you’ve meet my sister, Emily.
Emily-You better explain, Elizabeth. She looks quite confused.
Elizabeth-Angeline, through a series of events I have found that I am royal, that I am the older twin of Emily here, and that I am queen. I would be honored if you would be my lady-in-waiting.
Angeline-Wow, that’s a lot to take in.
Emily-(kindly) Have a seat.
Angeline-(startled) In the presence of royalty!
Emily-I’m sure my sister would make an exception for her best friend.
Elizabeth-Of course, sit.
Angeline-I would be honored to be your lady-in-waiting, your highness.
Elizabeth-In private it is okay to call me Liz, or even in personal circumstances, Lizzy.
Emily-Lizzy?
Angeline-Her childhood nickname. Mine was Ange.
Emily-Mine was Milly, but only my parents call me that, and then in private.
Angeline-Different lives have different rules.
Elizabeth-And that’s going to take a lot of getting used to.
Angeline-So when’s the coronation?
Emily-Tomorrow.
Angeline-So soon!
Emily-Things have been ready at a moment’s notice for a long time, but Kaitlyn is going to be busy.
Elizabeth-Why?
Emily-I guess I should have told you already. Our mother was very old and sick, and she died today. That’s why you queen.
Elizabeth-(sits) Wow. A lot has happened today.
Emily-Yes.
Angeline-Con you believe only hours ago we were sitting in a field deciding we wanted to work at the castle?
Elizabeth-No.

Lost Princess Act 3 Scene 3 & 4

Scene 3
(Kaitlyn enters)
Kaitlyn-Liz, the princess requires your presence.
Liz-(Yell) I’m coming! (quiet) Noella, give me strength.
Scene 4
(Liz enters and curtsies)
Emily-Welcome, Liz.
Liz-Your highness, if you please, I have something to tell you.
Emily-(confused) You do?
Liz-Lady Tiffany believes I am your lost sister.
Noella-(appears) And for a good reason. (Emily and Liz gasp) I told Emily her sister would find her, and you did. I’m sorry I had to steal you at birth, or the other gods would have killed you.
Liz-Why? What had I done?
Noella-Well, most of the gods thought that you would fulfill a prophecy they didn’t want fulfilled. They thought your birth would mean that they would lose their kingdoms.
Emily-What did the prophecy say?
Noella-The next royal born in the land of Eustace shall, when she turns 15, break down many barriers.
Liz-So the gods thought barriers meant the kingdom barriers, the line where kingdoms meet.
Noella-Yes, thankfully I asked my sister, Akili, goddess of wisdom, what she thought it meant. She said the gods were overacting. She told me to hide the child until her fifteenth birthday and see what happens. Elizabeth (Liz gasps), yes that is your real name, you have broken down barriers. You proved that anyone can be a princess, and this is only the second time a god has fully appeared to a mortal. The first was to Rachel, with you in my arms.
Emily-So you were the nursemaid the night of our births, in disguise?
Liz-Did you help me with the birth of Lady Tiffany’s baby?
Noella-The answer to both of those questions is yes. Now Elizabeth, you might not have realized it, but you are now the queen.
Liz-Oh my! But I don’t know how to rule!
Noella-But you know the people. If you ever have questions you can always ask your advisers, or your sister. If you need, you can ask me as well. Here is a necklace. If you rub the center, I will come to you. You might need me to back you up on something, if you are in trouble, if you have a hard question, or even a personal question. Just rub the necklace. This is another way you are breaking down barriers. A god or goddess has never been at the beck and call of a mortal before. Good Luck. (leaves)
Emily-Wow.
Liz-You can say that again.
Emily-Wow. (both giggle)

Lost Princess Act 3 Scenes 1 & 2

Act 3-The Prophecy
Scene 1
(Emily sitting, Kaitlyn standing)
Emily-So I didn’t just imagine it?
Kaitlyn-I don’t know. I thought I had seen it too, but only a glimpse. I thought it could have been my imagination, as we had just spoken about it.
Emily-I must find out for sure, but how?
Kaitlyn-You could call her to you and say you have heard rumor that she has a strange birthmark on her left shoulder, and you’d like to see it.
Emily-You have the best ideas, Kaitlyn.
Kaitlyn-(Embarrassed) I wouldn’t say that.
Scene 2
(Tiffany laying, Liz standing)
Tiffany-She is so beautiful. Sir Charles will be proud. Unfortunately he is way on business, and won’t be return till next week.
Liz-She is beautiful, Lady Tiffany. She was also one of the easiest births I’ve ever known, And I’ve done quite a few.
Tiffany-You have?
Liz-Yes, my…(silence)
Tiffany-Your what?
Liz-I guess you could call her my foster mother, was a wet nurse, Lady Tiffany.
Tiffany-Your foster mother? Who is your real mother?
Liz-I don’t know, Lady Tiffany.
Tiffany-I couldn’t help but notice you had a strange birthmark on your left shoulder. May I see it? It might give us a clue. (gasp)
Liz-What is it?
Tiffany-The royal birthmark.
Liz-(startled) What?!
Tiffany-Princess Emily has waited for you. She properly saw it, and that’s why she fainted.
Liz-What do I do, Lady Tiffany?
Tiffany-She will properly call you down to her chambers, and you can tell her then. Go back to the kitchen for now.

Lost Princess Act 2 Scenes 7 & 8

Scene 7
(Kaitlyn enters yelling)
Kaitlyn-Does anyone have any experience with childbirth?
Liz-I do.
Kaitlyn-Quick, the princess’s lady-in-waiting is giving birth!
Scene 8
(Tiffany laying down)
Liz-Keep cool washcloths on her forehead Kaitlyn. Keep chewing that bark Lady Tiffany, it helps.
Emily-(bursts in) I just heard. Is she okay? (Liz starts to curtsey) No time for formalities, just tell me.
Liz-She is fine, Your Majesty, or as fine as someone giving birth can be.
Emily-Thank goodness. And what is your name?
Liz-Liz, Your Highness.
Emily-Is that your whole name?
Tiffany-(Yells in agony) Ahhh!
Liz-It’s coming! Just breath slowly, Lady Tiffany. Slowly, now push!
Tiffany-(Yells in agony) Ahhh!
Baby-Wah! (As Liz hands baby to Tiffany, her sleeve slips revealing her left shoulder. Emily faints, but Kaitlyn catches her.)
Liz-It is common for people not accustomed to the smell of blood to faint at a birth. Just take her and lie her down, then waft some perfume under her nose.

Lost Princess Act 2 Scenes 4, 5, & 6

Since I haven't posted in a while, here is a catch-up.
Scene 4
(Kaitlyn and Tiffany enter)
Emily-Close the door quickly, pull the blinds shut, and tell the guards we are not to be disturbed under any circumstances.
Kaitlyn-What’s wrong?
Emily-Just do it, then I’ll tell you.
Tiffany-What’s the big fuse?
Kaitlyn-What did the priestess say?
Emily-A better question would be, What did Noella say? (Tiffany and Kaitlyn gasp)
Tiffany-What’s Noella or a priestess got to do with anything!
Emily-Sorry, I forgot you didn’t know. I have an older twin who is supposed to be on the throne right now, but was kidnapped at birth, and never heard from again.
Tiffany-That still doesn’t answer my question.
Emily-I didn’t even know if my sister is alive, and if she is, where to look. So I decided to ask a priestess who honored Noella, and while I was talking with her, Noella spoke through the priestess to me. She told me that my sister would find me, and that she has the same royal birthmark as me on my shoulder.
Tiffany-Wow. So you just wait around until your sister comes along?
Emily-That’s a problem. What do I tell the court?
Kaitlyn-That you are grief stricken, and feel you could not properly rule until you are over your grief. You are turning over ruling to the twelve eldest courtiers, who would be your advisers anyway, until then.
Emily-That is a good idea, thank you Kaitlyn.
Kaitlyn-Thank you. I am sorry if I am rude, but I must get back to the kitchen, or chaos will rule.
Emily-Of course. Go ahead. (Kaitlyn leaves)
Scene 5
Kaitlyn-I’m sorry these dresses are so weird. The seamstress donates extra cloth to my wardrobe, and we make do with them.
Liz-That’s fine. We’re just going to need a lot of pins.
Kaitlyn-Oh, let me help you. The cloth is slipping off your left shoulder. (gasp)
Liz-What? (spinning round)
Kaitlyn-(shaken) I just saw a rat. I’ll have to tell one of the kitchen boys to lay traps for it. (leaves)
Scene 6
Tiffany-You’re sure it was the royal birthmark.
Kaitlyn-Not really. I only caught a glimpse before she wheeled around.
Tiffany-Should we tell Emily?
Kaitlyn-No.
Tiffany-Why not?
Kaitlyn-She’s got enough to worry about without me jumping everytime I think I might have seen the royal birthmark on one of the kitchen worker’s shoulder.
Tiffany-(Yells in agony) Ahhh!
Kaitlyn-What?!
Tiffany-I think the baby’s coming.

Summer

The education department in my state made this law that school couldn't start till the end of August. Before my school district started at the beginning of August. So they cut out Fall break and we are still in school till Wednesday, when we could have been out two weeks ago!
For the first time I can remember, this year we are not leaving the state. Usually we got to New Mexico and Arizona to visit family, but this year we are staying home (to save money from gas). We plan to go to different museums and stuff and it sounds like a lot of fun.I am also volunteering at my local public library this summer. I love to read, and this will surely help me find some good books.
This month I am going to three different church camps. This weekend I am going to Youth conference. All the young men and young women in the area get together for a weekend and have fun. This Youth Conference we are going to an adventure camp, which is sure to be a lot of fun. We are also going to have a 5k walk/run to raise money for humanitarian aid.
I am also going to EFY (Especially For Youth) for a week. This camp is more spiritually, but still is a lot of fun. EFY takes place at college compasses around the country, and there are even some in Canada.
At the end of the month I am going to girls camp. All the young women in the area get together for three or four days and do spiritually and fun stuff. We are able to go to a real camp with a lake and it is so much fun to swim in it if you don't mind algea. We are also feed really well. We sing camp songs, learn about what to do in emergencies, and do skits.
So after a crazy June I am going to have a nice relaxing summer.

Artemis Fowl

Here is one of my favorite series. It involves a Mastermind kid gone bad, his body guard, and an underground world which he is trying to steal their gold, but they are far more advanced than he knew. There is even a website, http://www.artemisfowl.com/ if you are intrested.

Lost Princess Act 2 Scenes 2 & 3

Scene 2
(Priestess and Emily are siting in chairs)
Narrator-After Emily had retold the story of her birth to the priestess, the priestess was silent for a while, and then said,
Priestess-I shall have to call upon Noella for guidance. She will know what to do. (stands, then sits again. Moves lips but voice of Noella comes out)
Noella-Your sister shall find you. She is alive, and a kind hearted girl. Much like yourself. She bears the same birthmark as you on her left shoulder, a star with a crown on top. (Emily leaves before Priestess realizes what has happened.)
Scene 3
Angeline-We might find good work in the kitchens, and we’re more likely to stay together.
Liz-You’re right, and I’m not bad at cutting up vegetables.
Angeline-Me too. See her over there? She looks to be in charge, and friendly too, lets ask her for work.
Liz-Agreed. (Both walk over to Kaitlyn)
Kaitlyn-Well hello, how can I help you two today?
Liz-We’re looking for work. We thought you might like some help.
Kaitlyn-You look capable of hard work, but my workers have good clothes. Just come in here and I’ll find something for you to wear.
Tiffany-(Running and Yelling)Kaitlyn! Her highness requires an audience with us right away!
Kaitlyn-(raises eyebrows, quietly)that’s strange. Must be something to do with the priestess.
Tiffany-What?
Kaitlyn-I’ll be right there. Girls, just look through the clothes, and I’ll be back in a minute.

Lost Princess Act 2 Scene 1

Act 2-The Search
Scene 1
(Rachel is standing, Liz enters)
Liz-I’ve decided to take control of my own life. I’m going to the castle to work.
Rachel- Wow, I can’t believe how much you’ve grown up in one day!
Liz-It is hard enough to make this decision without you going all motherly on me.
Rachel-I’m sorry, I want you to know, though, that I treated you as if you were my own child. Not just because Noella told me to, but because I love you.
Liz-I’m sorry too. I just always thought of you as "Mom" and never thought otherwise. I just kind of startled me.
Rachel-I hope you find a good job, and never settle for less than your best.
Liz-I won’t, and Angeline is coming with me. (leaves)
Rachel-(Yells) Stick together (quietly) and be safe.

Lost Princess Act 1 Scene 6

Emily-Are you sure I should do this?
Kaitlyn-Princess Emily, you are a princess, and may take the throne. Princesses have pride in themselves.
Emily-You’re right, Katty, and you look stunning in that gown.
Kaitlyn-It feels so different. (Priestess enters) There’s the priestess now, go ask her. Remember who you are.
Emily-(With head held high, she goes to the priestess) Priestess, may I ask you a few questions?
Priestess-(She stands up straight and bows her head)For you Your Highness, of course.
Emily-Actually, it is a question about just that. There is a question of who is the next queen. May we speak in private?
Priestess-(confused)Of course, in here is my office. (Point offstage)
Emily-(Start going offstage, then turn) Oh, Katty, you are dismissed until I need you again.
Kaitlyn-(curtsy)Thank you, Princess. (Priestess shakes her head and goes offstage)

Lost Princess Act 1 Scene 5

(Liz sitting, Angeline enters and sits beside her)
Angeline-Liz, are you all right? Rachel said I might find you here.
Liz-Oh Ange, I have just learned the true story of my life, and I’m not sure I like it.
Angeline-(laughing) I haven’t heard my nickname in a long time. What made you say it?
Liz-I don’t know, maybe just longing for when we were free, without a care in the world.
Angeline-Okay, spit it out Lizzy, what’s the problem?
Liz-I learned that Rachel isn’t my mom.
Angeline-Oh, that.
Liz-What do you mean ‘that.’
Angeline-(sigh)Most of the village has noticed that you have brown hair while your mother has blonde. And that you’re a lot shorter than she is. And your voice is a lot different…
Liz-Okay, I get the picture. Everyone but me figured it out a while ago.
Angeline-I’m sorry I never told you. I thought you knew.
Liz-(sigh)It’s okay, I probably wouldn’t have believed you always. I wouldn’t have believed Rachel either, even it she told it to my face. I wasn’t ready then. I’m not sure I’m ready now. But there’s more.
Angeline-More?
Liz-Apparently Noella came to Rachel’s doorstep with me in hand and told her to protect me. She also told Rachel not to tell me that she wasn’t my mother until my fifteenth birthday.
Angeline-That’s big.
Liz-I know.
Angeline-So what are you going to do?
Liz-Well, I’m old enough to go to work, and make my own future, so I think I’ll go work at the castle. Will you come with me Ange?
Angeline-Of course. What are friends for? I’ve always wanted to see the castle up close. Do you think there will be any cute boys? All the boys here are conceited, or ugly. (both laugh)
Liz-You never will change will you Ange?
Angeline-Nope.
Liz-Anyway, I bet the boys at the castle will be the same way.
Angeline-Darn. (both giggle)

Lost Princess Act 1 Scene 4

Narrator-Princess Emily ran crying through the gardens until she was all worn out and sat promptly in that spot. It happened to be right in front of some roses. Roses were her mother’s favorite flower.
Emily-(sadly)Was her favorite flower.
Narrator-Princess Emily could not be more heart broken. Her mother had been her greatest friend. They had laughed together, played games, talked. Now it was all gone. Never to happen again. She couldn’t even envelop herself in duties of the crown. She had to go on a wild goose hunt to see if her sister had survived. If she hadn’t, she didn’t know if she could bare another heartbreak. If she was alive, would she know how to rule? Would she be kind or cold-hearted? Truthful or…
Kaitlyn-(on ground bowing)Your highness? I heard what happened, and I know how close you two were. (Emily looks up)
Emily-Kaitlyn, please get up. You are my friend, and I am not queen. Yet. You don’t need to call me princess either, at least in private company. I should have changed that long ago. (Kaitlyn sits next to Emily)
Kaitlyn-What do you mean your not queen, Princess…I mean Emily.
Emily-Apparently I wasn’t the only royal babe born the night I was born. I have an older twin. If I prove she died, I can take the throne. If I prove she’s alive, then she takes the throne. If I can’t prove it either way, I don’t know what happens. I think I shall visit Noella’s temple and ask her for advice.
Kaitlyn-I would suggest a change of clothes first, Emily. You have mud all over your beautiful birthday dress.
Emily-(Smiling)Mother will kill me. (Starts crying)
Kaitlyn-(gently)My Lady, please don’t cry. (pull out handkerchief) She’s in a happy place now. And you’ve still got me, and Becca, and Mary. You wouldn’t want to give the court the impression that we’ve got a weepy princess. (Kaitlyn puts arm around Emily and wipes away her tears) I can wash most of the mud off, so you can still wear it the rest of the day.
Emily-Thank you, and I told you to stop giving me titles.
Kaitlyn-It takes a while to break a habit, and I like calling you Princess. You bring honor to that title, unlike some.
Emily-That is the nicest thing anyone has anyone has said to me, and it came from the head cook. Courtiers surround me all the time, but never has one said a thing as nice as you just said. I’m glad you’re my friend.
Kaitlyn-Me too, Emily. Whoever marries you will be a lucky man indeed.
Emily-(sticks out tongue)Not if I have anything to say about it.

Lost Princess Act 1 Scene 3

Liz-Mom, can you stop being mysterious, you’ve been mysterious with me my whole life, and anything I ask you about that you direct conversation to another topic. I want the truth. I’m fifteen now, Mom, I’m ready to know.
Rachel-I want to tell you, but it is going to sound strange, and you’re going to leave me after I tell you, I know it. That is why I have been putting it off.
Liz-I won’t run away, Mom. I pro…
Rachel-Now don’t make any promises you can’t keep. You’re an honest girl Liz, and I want to keep it that way. You might have noticed you don’t have a father. Thankfully lots of people get pregnant without getting married or we would have had to have this discussing earlier. I’m barely ready to tell you now. You are not my daughter. (Liz gasped)
Liz-Then how did you get me? Did someone who had a baby decide they didn’t want it anymore and gave it to you? Or did you find me on the side of the road? Or…
Rachel-If you would stop talking I could tell you. Well anyway, one night, exactly fifteen years ago today, Noella came to my doorstep. Since she is the goddess of birth and I am a wet nurse, I am very familiar with Noella. I go to burn incense in her temple after every birth I help with, but this was the first time I had ever seen her in person. She was beautiful beyond description, and she told me,
Noella- Rachel, you have been so loyal to me. Because of this I offer you a gift.
Rachel-In her arms was a babe that had been born not even an hour ago. She didn’t tell me her name, but told me,
Noella-Call her Liz, though this is not her real name. She must be hid from the world until her fifteenth birthday. Then tell her about her past. Then she must make her own choices.
Rachel-I have dreaded this moment ever since. Now Liz...(stop, Liz runs out crying)

Lost Princess Act 1 Scene 2

Scene 2
Narrator-Princess Emily was a little short for her age, but no one mentioned that. She had blonde hair that sparkled in the sunlight, and everyone mentioned that, especially because today was her birthday. Now everyone didn’t say bad things about her because they were afraid of her temper; they said good things because she was very nice. Her new Lady-in-Waiting Tiffany, who happened to be her new friend, helped her put-up her hair. Kaitlyn, the head chef who was also her friend, had brought up her favorite breakfast, eggs and bacon.
Emily-You guys are the best friends a princess ever had. You always know when it’s my birthday, but I am constantly forgetting yours.
Tiffany-Well, you’re the princess, everyone knows for weeks before when your birthday is. I’m just glad the baby didn’t come before your birthday, but its coming soon!
Emily-I’m glad too. I’d be sorry if you had to miss it. You know what, whenever I am with you guys I always forget who I am. I am always shocked when I walk out the door and realize I’m a princess. (They laugh, but stop with knock on door. Tiffany strides to the door while waving to Kaitlyn to hide.)
Guard-I’m am very sorry to interrupt, but the queen requires her daughter immediately. (Tiffany and Emily look at each other.)
Narrator-The Queen was very old. Her husband had already died from old age. The princess’s brother, Edward had become king, but then died in a hunting accident a couple months later. Princess Erin had given Edward three beautiful daughters, but no son. As there were no other male heirs, the Queen had become Queen again. Now it looked like her life might be at the end as well. Princess Emily hurried to her mother’s chambers, once inside she found her lying in bed, very ill.
Queen-Emily, I am about to die, but I need to tell you the truth about something. The night I had you, I also had another child, your twin. Somehow the wet nurse was able to slip away with your sister during the night and was never heard from again. I do not know what happened to her, but you have to either prove her death or her existence. You must do this to become the legitimate queen, as she was born first. (with those words she dies)

Lost Princess Act 1 Scene 1

Act 1-The Second Princess
Scene 1
(Liz is asleep, Rachel standing over her)
Rachel-Wake up, Liz, wake up. It’s your birthday. (Liz opens her eyes, but doesn’t get up) Come one, you’re used to waking up at odd hours of the night to help me help people give birth. (Waits, then after a while) I’ve got a surprise for you. (Liz sits straight up)
Liz-What kind of surprise, Mom?
Rachel-(laughing) I’ll have to use that excuse more often, I’ve never seen you get out of bed to quick! I made your favorite breakfast, eggs and bacon.
Liz-Mom, you didn’t have to do that. I know how expensive bacon is, and you’re avoiding my question.
Rachel-All will reveal itself in due course, now eat.

The Lost Princess-Prologue

It's amazing how time flies even when you aren't booked 24/7. I'm sorry I haven't blogged, by I have found something to fill up space.
Well, I made up a play based on some friends of mine. I have decided to post it here on my blog, a scene at a time, sometimes two. I will have it under the heading Lost Princess, so if you put Lost Princess in the search option at the top of the screen, you will be able to find all of the story I have posted.
In this story there are multiple gods, I do not believe in multiple gods, but it is needed for the story, as you will find out in the end.

The Lost Princess
Prologue

Narrator- In a world of ten kingdoms ruled ten gods. Each god had a special kingdom of their own, but all of the gods ruled all the kingdoms, never the less. There were five gods and five goddesses; Noella, queen and goddess of birth, Ambarisa, king and god of the sky, Amora, goddess of love, Pratt, the trickster god, Akili, goddess of wisdom, Thanatos, god of the dead, Wakana, goddess of music, Murdock, god of the sea, AlegĂam, goddess of happiness, and Killeen, god of war.
Noella watched over the kingdom of Eustace, there the mortals were ruled over by royalty who feared and listened to their goddess. The royalty all had names that started with E. The queen’s name was Elyse, the king’s Eric, and their son’s (the prince’s) Edward. Royalty always wanted to marry royal blood at all cost, so Prince Edward married his cousin Erin. The Queen was old but she had finally gotten pregnant again, and at about the same time as Erin did. Erin was due before the Queen, so the Queen sent the royal midwife to her. But while the midwife was away the queen began to give labor. They called in the best midwife from the town nearby. That night the Queen had twins and all were happy.
With all the commotion no one noticed when the midwife wrapped the older of the twins in a blanket and slipped away. The guards at the door just thought she was going to wash the baby, but the guards at the gate realized she was getting away with the princess and chased after her. Despite their best efforts she eluded them. By the time they got back to the castle, the Queen had realized that one of her babies was gone. The guards told her they had tried to stop the midwife, but had failed. The Queen made all who knew that she had given birth to twins swear on the goddess Noelle that they would never tell anyone what had happened that night, and instead would say that the Queen had only given birth to one child.

Antigone-update

It amazes me how much it takes out of you staying after school till 5:30 or 6 every night for two weeks. And before that it was about every other day. Then throw in a headache and a practice till 8 on the same day. Throw in a couple big school projects, a frustrating debate, and regular homework. Then our main actor decides to do something stupid. He decides to run up some risers, fall down, put a goose egg sized knot on his head, and may have hurt his leg on the day of a performance with competition only two days away. Now you know why I haven't blogged in a while. Play practice + homework = no free time. Once the play ends, which is this Saturday, I will be able to blog more often.

President Hinckley

President Hinckley died on Jan. 27, sunday, at 7. While he was alive we believed that he was a prophet of god. Many people ask how we can believe someone is a prophet when there haven't been any since biblical times. In Heb. 13: 8 it states "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." If so, why did he have apostles and prophets on the earth "yesterday" and not "today." Because he does. He has since the eighteenth centry. He has had fifteen since that time and the sixteenth will be Thomas S. Monson. I have a testimony of that.
I am kind of confused on what to think of President Hinckley dieing. I have never known someone who has died before. Many adults are happy because he is now together with his wife and because he will get to rest from all he has done. Here is a peom I found descibing President Hinckley.
I imagine he's running to Marjorie now,
Yes, running, not waving his cane.
I see him embracing his father and mother
While they keep repeating his name.
I see him now meeting his forebears;
Brother Brigham and Joseph are there.
Sweet reunion of prophets, united by service
That only such noble men share.
I see him embraced by the Savior
While Father says, "Good and well done.
So faithful in stalwart endurance, I welcome
My noble, most excellent son."
I then hear the ripples of laughter
As he says the reception's just fine,
But he hopes that he'll get an assignment or two
Since there's no need to waste any time.
I can hear his clear voice in the stillness
At the close of this sweet Sabbath day,
Have faith and move forward - there's work to be done.
President Hinckley would want it that way.

Typical Girl

By Cheri Magill
I will never wear my skirt shorter,
So I can catch your eye.
I will never fake my own tragedy,
And happen to stop by.
I will never order what pleases you when I’m on a date,
I will never over reanalyze everything you say,
I won’t strategically place myself where I know you will be,
I won’t tell you what you want to hear,
That just isn’t me.

‘Cause I refuse to be your typical girl,
There’s plenty of her in this world
Why should I change myself into what you think I should be
When all you’ve got to love is me?

I work like my father,
Fearless of the dirt.
My fingers are like calluses,
So keep your manicure.
I don’t need constant attention to edify myself,
I don’t need diamonds or jewelry or any other wealth,
When I stand to leave the room no one come along,
And when I am upset with you,
I’ll tell you what went wrong.

‘Cause I refuse to be your typical girl,
There’s plenty of her in this world
Why should I change myself into what you think I should be
When all you’ve got to love is me?

I refuse to be your typical girl,
There’s plenty of her in this world
Why should I change myself into what you think I should be
When all you’ve got to love is me?

Listen to it at http://www.myspace.com/cherimagill

Being LDS makes me not a typical girl. I stand up for what is right, like school rule, and just get ridiculed for it. But sometimes I'd rather not be a typical girl and do all the things in the first verse. I'd rather know that I am a daughter of God and don't need to do all that stuff to get someone to love me. And I really don't need a date until high school. I see girls trowing away their education and life to chase after someone they like when they need to be focusing on getting good grades. That is why so many teenager's are getting pregnant in high school. Thy don't realize that they are loved by a heavenly father and don't need any other love until they are older. I feel sorry for them and am so glad I know who I am.

Antigone

My school has decided to put on a one act play called Antigone. It is a condensed version. I have gotten a part in the chorus. The chorus is the city people who help introduce people, move the story along, and influence people's choices. In the original play the chorus have five long "songs" that I hope get shortened in our version.
Antigone is set in Greece. When the king died his two sons both wanted the throne. One banished the other from the city and claimed the throne. The banished brother gathered an army and went to fight his brother. During the battle they killed each other. The new king (the uncle of the brothers) sent a proclamation that the king brother should be given burial as a hero but the banished brother should be left on the battle field to rot.
Antigone, the brother's sister, decided that the banished brother deserved a burial as well, so she went and poured sand and did the burial rights on him. She was caught, though, and brought before the King who sentenced her to death by starvation in a cave. His son, who was also Antigone's betrothed, asked him to forgive Antigone and let her go. The king refused, so his son went to the cave to rescue her. Meanwhile a prophet goes to the King and tells him to release Antigone and give the banished brother a proper burial or the Gods will release their anger upon him. Scared, the King goes to do what is asked, but when he gets to the cave he finds that Antigone as hung herself and his son is there rocking her in his arms. His son then stabs himself in front of his father. Word gets back to the Queen and she also commits suicide because of the loss of her son. All alone the king seeks death as the only end to his misery.

New Year

Hello everyone! 2008 is here. Isn't that just plain scary? Where did 2007 go?
I never quite thought of how it might be hard to keep posting after a while, and I have learned to appreciate how often other bloggers are able to do it. I will try to be sure to blog at least once a month this year, but I hope I will blog more often than that!
